The Super Bowl seems to be our traditional "end of the holidays" blow-out. It is the final indulgent meal in a season full of bad-for-you food. Today we start a new season of healthy eating... and the best way to stay on target is to plan ahead. Thankfully there's Laura and Menu Plan Monday at I'm an Organizing Junkie to help keep me on track!
Monday - Steak Sandwiches, Baked French Fries, Green Salad
Tuesday - Salsa Chicken and Rice, Corn and Black Bean Relish
Wednesday - Chopped Salad with Spicy Pork and Buttermilk Dressing
Thursday - Chicken Vegetable Soup with Noodles
Friday - Make Your Own Pizza
Saturday - Bob Cooks
Sunday - To be decided later...
My nutritional goal for this week is to stop drinking soda... again. It's one of my toughest habits to break.

Good luck with stopping the soda, Gina. That is so hard to do. It is one of my only vices and not one I am willing to give up any time soon. You can do it, though!

Mmmm - looks like it's going to be tasty week at your house!
Your menu sound delish! Good luck on the soda issue, it's a tough one!
I totally don't feel like cooking this week. If left to my own devices, my menu would probably look like this:
Monday - Taco Bell
Tuesday - McDonald's
Wednesday - Wendy's
Thursday - Albertson's pre-roasted chicken
Friday - Taco del Mar (fish tacos on Friday, you know) ;-)
Saturday - Papa Murphy's pizza
Sunday - Potluck at church
:::sigh:::
But don't worry. I really will feed everyone real food -- I just wish I didn't have to this week. Wish I could afford to hire a personal chef. (Now THAT would be a nice prize for the February Blogging Challenge next week, Gina!) lol
Or maybe I could just show up on your doorstep and eat with your family? 8-)

Debi and I are working out of the same cook book. Good luck with the soda. Sparkling water helped me. I like fizz.
Gina, I have almost completely given up soda. I am hooked on the low calorie fuze drinks and I also drink a ton of crystal light. I have been getting those individual packets that go in a bottle of water. Works great for school, etc. I have also really kicked my starbucks habit. I still drink it in the morning (we make it at home) but I don't drink it at school anymore.
Good luck with stopping the sodas.Do you care for sugar free sodas. When I drink a soda at home it is a caffeine free diet soda. When we are out I have to settle for a diet soda. Are recipes for the menu items included at that Junkie website?Guess I should check it out instead of asking.
Hi everyone! Thanks for all the ideas. Unfortunatly sugar substitutes are migraine triggers for me. However, I've found a great peach tea and I'm making gallons of sun tea.
Debi.. I have to admire your menu. I never would have thought it possible to have such a varied menu without cooking. I've got a friend who writes cookbooks... maybe you should talk to her. ;-)
Nancy, some people post recipes and some don't. Sometimes I'll put a recipe link.. especially if I'm cooking something from weight watchers but this week most of my meals are just out of my head.
