I love baklava and I rarely buy it because I am physically and emotionally unable to walk away from it. If I can get past it in the store I am fine. It's not the kind of pastry that calls to me in my dreams. However, once I've let it into my house I'm done for. This weekend a huge tray somehow followed me home.

Keep putting up pictures like this and we will officially be going steady. Love baklava!
Boy, those look so good!!!
MMMM. I love baklava too....our old house was right off the Danforth, which is Toronto's Greektown. I miss the Athena bakery...sigh
(sorry, I'm late in getting here!!)
yummmmmmm....many many many moons ago when I lived in Atlanta, I would go to the Greek Festival almost every year. The baklava was always THE place to stop before we left...I remember the ladies having to literally pick the bees off the baklava before putting pieces into the bags.
Thanks for the wonderful memories!!! (I think I gained 5 pounds just from looking at the picture!!)
