So much to say... part two

Oh dear, it's been almost a whole week since I started this post. I am pathetically lame and lamely pathetic. But you know what? In two weeks and two days I will be lamely and pathetically unemployed. (yippee!) Now I just have to figure out how to schedule my soon to be free time so I don't fritter it all away on silly things like cleaning the garage or doing laundry.

Oh nonononono..."cleaning the garage and doing laundry"?!?!?!
No my friend, we will find you many other things to do instead!!
Shoot.. I'm sure we could come up with things to do to keep your butt busy (and happy!!) for quite a while.
Let's see...

1. Get started on that book you've wanted to write.
2. Learn how to tap dance.
3. How about a new language? Japanese is pretty challenging...but I've been told, it can be fun.
4. Have your own car wash...get the kids to help. (charging is optional..for the car wash, that is.)
5. Build a tree house.
6. Fritter for a bit...nothing wrong with that!!

Have a great weekend!!

Heidi, I graciously offered to give up my hours so that one of my coworkers could change to part time and they could hire a new full time person to replace her.

Debbie, the garage does actually need to be cleaned but, instead of being sidetracked by my obsessive nature and refusing to do anything else until the house is organized, I'm going to try very hard to schedule time for writing and exercise and all the other good things I want to do. I'll schedule a little tiny bit of time to fritter too.

I'll try a new launguage with you Mom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We could finish Italian!!! (And then try Japanese =D)

how many pages have you written mom? I forgot. (52 pages for me, and almost halfway through!)

Oh, and Debbie: where we live, the only trees barely hold three birds. lol. I mean the neighborhood, not all of Lacey. =D Night everyone!

Ooo. I want to learn Italian! (I've seen my kids delve into Japanese, and, sorry, it looked to difficult for me.)

The being home thing: It's all about working toward a happy balance, isn't it? I never worry about feeling undervalued as "just a housewife". I know how difficult life becomes when both parents are working. Who will take the dog to the vet? Who will spend half an hour on the phone with computer support? Who will make the house a home while everyone is busy with their separate activities?
I love being home and the balance we have right now. Welcome home. :)

Taylor, yes, Italian is exactly what we should be working on! Bellisimo Bella!

Laura, Isn't it wonderful when you find that balance?

Gina, I'm sure your free time will get filled very easily!!! And yes, you should really spend any free time on YOU. What a concept, eh?

And yes, that book of yours...

Kate, married to the beach sounds heavenly! I have a beach (well I don't have it but the city has quite a few) but it's too cold here to really enjoy them. I love to watch the ships though.

I am planning on doing more ship watching.. and I think I'm going to try and make a hockey bag.
