It's over

Bob's surgery ended just as CNN was declaring Obama our new President. Now the healing begins. Life is good.

Surgery went well and they didn't find any nasty surprises. We have great hope that Bob will regain full nerve function in his left arm and can get back to living his life normally (or as normal as he gets!) I spent the night in the hospital and have just come home for a shower and will return for another night. Hopefully he will be coming home tomorrow. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.

Yay to all of you!!!

LOL: "normal" - that's a good one! The best advantage Bobby has (next to you, of course ;-) is his amazingly goofy sense of humor. Laughter can cure all (once laughing is possible, that is, given broken ribs, collarbone, etc). Let his silliness fill you up when you are running low on energy and need a boost.

This is good news!! So glad that all is turning out okay and that Bob will be recovering and getting "back to normal"!! :-D

I'm just amazed that he is getting out of the hospital so quickly after surgery like that. I know that's probably how it's done pretty much everywhere in the States, but here? An operation like that...plus the rehabilitation involved...(and I'm taking an educated guess based on students' various surgeries)...if he were in Japan, I'm saying a hospital stay of about 2 months would be pretty close!!! Amazing, huh?
Good luck to you all during this recovery process!! This may be the time to check out NetFlicks to keep the energy level and positive feelings alive!!!
