Monday again

This morning Bob had the staples removed from his incisions. He continues to heal but it's going slowly.

"Your husband should feel much better now that we have removed these pesky bones."

Delaney stayed home sick today. Fifth disease has been going around her school and she has the bright red rash and cold symptoms. She isn't feeling too bad but didn't seem to mind having a day to hang out with George.

That's about all that's going on around here. Happy Monday everybody!

I think the operative word there is that he continues to heal. Very good!

So is Fifth's a disease that kids can get over and over? Most kids get it in preschool so I am surprised there is an outbreak of it at her age level!

No, fifth's is a virus that you can only get once although the info the school sent home said it's most prevelant in kids 5 - 10 yrs old.

Fifths was in the school last year... one of L's best friends had it. Hope Delaney feels better soon.

And glad that Bob's healing well too.

I hope you don't get it--I got it when my kids all had it in elementary school and the Dr.'s thought I was developing rheumatoid arthritis. Thank goodness the kid's pediatrician (who was my doctor when I was a kid), made the connection. The adult form of fifth's is much worse. Luckily after 2 months of anti-inflammatory drugs I recovered.

I'm glad to hear Bob is on the mend.
