Today was Christmas Tree Day. In a normal year it would take most of the day to stalk a wild tree, take it down, and drag it home. However, this year we needed to get done fast so we chose a nice, docile, precut tree. A friendly boy scout wrapped it up tightly...
and when we got home we discovered that even a domesticated tree needs a little wrangling to get it ready for Christmas.
Eventually it was subdued.
Tomorrow we will attempt to saddle it with lights.

Things I Loved about your Blog Entry Today:
1) That I can click on the pictures to see them bigger and better
2) That Delaney is sitting on your couch with her boots on, smiling. I like that relaxed, feet up smile.
3) Zany Taylor, so much more comfortable in her own skin.
4) Sweet Bob back there on the recliner. I felt like saying "Hi, Bob!" to the picture.
It was just a great, simple, homey blog entry.
Wow. I wonder if my kids would take over the tree wrangling this year, with Mark gone? Hmmm.
It's weird. No one here seems to care if we get a tree or not, decorate or not. Will we panic and come through at the last minute? Maybe your decorating will inspire me ...
:)
yeah...me too..over here hoping for some "christmas decorating" inspiration....keep the pictures coming!!
I do miss a real tree....my fake one is pretty, but....still...not quite the same!
tell Taylor-doo that the color of her hair looks marvelous!! :-D
How did yours turn out? do we have photos??
:-D
Leeann, I actually wish I could figure out how to make the pictures smaller.. but I'm glad you enjoyed it. I had to go back and look again after reading these comments and I see what you are talking about with Delaney and Taylor. They don't look stressed.. it's really sad that there is a difference to see. Oh, and Bob says "Hi" back and he's not thrilled that I posted a picture of him. lol
Laura, decorating? I got it home.. am I supposed to decorate it too?! sheesh I don't blame you for being unenthusiatic about decorating a house that you are trying to pack.
Debbie, you are putting me to shame with your pretty candles and party planning...
Taylor's hair is very nice. I'm still not sure about mine. I do need to take a new picture though because my devil horns are looking a tad dated... maybe I'll get an elf hat.
Those are great photos...I noticed the same things Leeann did about Bob and the kids. It's like I was right there in the room with you guys.
And Taylor's hair is gorgeous, I'm sure yours turned out great too. I'd love to see a photo, but your avatar with the horns is still really cute too :)
